sville? Ok Not my best title but whatever. Now the song is stuck in your head, right? Anyway, in case you didn’t notice, I spend a good part of Saturday at Karen’s mom house in Clarksville for Karen’s baby shower. I believe I mentioned this in my previous entry. I am not going to get into the baby shower, though it was amazing and more like a country bonfire, but I want to talk about Karen.
Most of the people I spend a lot of time with haven’t met Karen before. To me this is a very unfortunate thing. In my opinion, she is one of the greatest people I have ever met.
Karen and I met my junior year in college when she was roommates with my good friend Jen. Within the first month of knowing her, I knew we would be life long friends. We spent countless weekends just sitting around her dorm room giggling and talking about everything and nothing. What exactly makes Karen such an amazing friend you might ask? Many things! For one, she is a carefree person who refuses to let anyone get her down. She has been a great number of relationships of heartbreaks and has given any guy the time of day rather than judging them. I wish I could be like that! By doing this or “kissing a lot of frogs” she has found someone that has everything she has been looking for. In fact they are getting married this fall. She has also gone through so terrible life events which I won’t get into buthas always preservered through it all. Karen is also very willing to try new things and is never scared to put her whole heart into what she is doing. Her mom knows me as the drunk happy friend because I had spent the night with her last year and we found a friend in Tequila Rose. I believe I ate half a loaf of bread. So hot. Sadly in the past two years, I have only been able to see Karen three times. We have so many hilarious memories together that it breaks my heart that we have somewhat drifted apart over the past couple of years. I know with her I will always have a great time and a true friend who would never say anything bad about me behind my back. She has always seen the good in people rather than their flaws.
I am not the best when it comes to writing so rather than just talking about how good of a friend she is, I want to share a couple of pictures and quotes/stories from my friendship with Karen.

Last February, Karen and I went to Louisville for the National Tractor Pull. We thought it was appropiate to wear plaid shirts so we could fit in. Instead, we stuck out like a sore thumb. So what we do? Play on tractors and drank a lot of beer.

One of our big traditions in college was to go to Lamberts each semester. We always dressed up even though flying food was involved. This is one of my favorite memories of college. On this particular trip, I kept on recording everything that everyone was saying on my phone even when our tone deaf driver was singing. She was not too happy with me and kept swerving off the road to get back at us.

We had just had a nice dinner out and decided we wanted to go play in the rain. First we tried to play football then realized we sucked at that so instead, we slid down the hill by the bridge!
Favorite conversation:
Karen: So how did the Persian War start anyway?
Erin: I dunno, someone was pissed about something.
